No is the simple answer. You only need to sign a compromise agreement if your employer is offering you something more that you are legally entiteld to when making you redundant.
If your employer is just paying you what the law entitles you to- why would you want to sign away your rights to bring any claims against them?!
A compromise agreement is simply an agreement between you and your employer where the employer is asking you to sign away your rights to bring claims against them. As you may know some of these rights could be quite valuable ie unfair dismissal, discrimination, unpaid wages and so on.
